Welcome and thank you for visiting the online home for Tustin City Council Candidate, Letitia Clark.
My relationship with the City of Tustin began nearly 20 years ago as a student at Tustin High School. It was then, that I first learned of the unique attributes and characteristics that made Tustin a wonderful place to live. As a student council leader, cheerleader and homecoming queen, I had a first hand account of the pride that local residents had for their families, schools and neighborhoods in Tustin.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Xavier University, a master’s degree in public policy from New England College and a certificate in non-profit management from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, I returned to the City of Tustin to raise my twins and serve the community I always loved. Over the years, I have enjoyed serving on the Tustin Community Foundation Board, the Tustin Street Fair/Chilli Cook-Off Committee, the Tustin Ranch Elementary School Site Council and the Tustin Unified School District Superintendent’s Council.
As a third generation Orange County resident, I know that Tustin stands out amongst the other cities throughout the county. I am an avid supporter of preserving the distinct elements of Tustin that have drawn families and businesses to the city for decades, such as the high ranking school system, low crime rate, friendly business climate and small town appeal. I am also passionate about implementing innovative strategies for efficient city services, responsive safety measures, and effective educational tools to support the quality of life of every Tustin Resident.
I am running for a seat on the Tustin City Council because I want to make a positive contribution, through my time, effort and energy, to the city that has made a positive impact on my life. As a city council-member, I want to ensure that our core services continually improve and are competitive in today’s global environment. I also want to uphold the great traits about Tustin that I’ve loved for 20 years and assure that they remain the same for generations to come.
