Letitia Clark, an Orange County native and graduate of Tustin High School, is an award winning public affairs professional with over a decade of experience in the public and non-profit sectors. Her first position out of college was with the New Orleans City Council which required her to be a part of the essential recovery team in response to Hurricane Katrina and propelled her in the realm for leadership at the local level. Clark currently serves as the District Director of Public Affairs, Marketing and Government Relations for the Coast Community College District. In this role she promotes educational opportunities and the success of students at Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, Golden West College in Huntington Beach and Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Clark’s professional career has also allowed her to serve as Executive Director for the American Academy of Pediatrics Orange County Chapter, a Government Affairs Director for the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors, a Government Relations Manager for the American Red Cross, and a legislative aide to the Georgia General Assembly and the New Orleans City Council. Clark is the founder of the Black Professionals in Orange County, a group committed to supporting the professional development needs of young and emerging African-Americans in Orange County and the founder of Lean In OC, a circle of women dedicated to supporting each other’s success in career and community; it’s  powered by the book LEAN IN, authored by Facebook’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg. She has also served as a board member to the Raise Foundation Young Professional Board and the Friendship Baptist Church Young Adult Council. Letitia is active in her Tustin community and has served on the Tustin Community Foundation Board, the Tustin Street Fair Committee, the Tustin Ranch Elementary School Site Council and the Tustin Unified School District’s Superintendent’s Council. She is most proud of her role as a mom to her 8 year old twins who attend Tustin Ranch Elementary School. Clark has received premier training that has prepared her to run a strong campaign. She is a proud fellow of the New Leaders Council Louisiana, Class of 2011 and proud alumnae of Emerge CA, Class of 2014. She has also been accepted into the Yale University Women’s Campaign School.
